The importance of technical education in tackling the challenges of the 21st century is beyond question. At present, governments of all countries around the world are compelled to prioritize the expansion of engineering and technical education. In today’s competitive global landscape, a developing country like Bangladesh has no alternative but to strengthen its position through science- and technology-based education. One of the main pillars of the current government’s vision for building a Digital Bangladesh is the creation of a skilled, trained, and technically educated workforce. Without transforming the country’s vast population into human resources, it will not be possible to achieve the desired goals of development.

By enhancing and expanding the quality of technical education, the nation can create new employment opportunities, eradicate unemployment, develop entrepreneurs, and produce a skilled workforce in line with the demands of both domestic and international job markets. With the noble mission of contributing to socio-economic development, alleviating poverty, and freeing the nation from the curse of unemployment, Meherpur College of Engineering and Technology has embarked on its journey.

With efficient management and the tireless efforts of highly educated and experienced faculty members, it is our pledge to make this institution one of the country’s leading centers of excellence. We firmly believe that with the guidance of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, the support of guardians, and the relentless dedication of both students and teachers, we will achieve our cherished goals.
